Phillip Charles Adams (1950-) was born in Van Nuys, California. He received his high school diploma from Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, California. In 1969, he entered the Navy, where he served on the USS Mount Vernon. He served as an electronic technician for the military and was stationed in places such as: Great Lakes, Illinois; Fallon, Nevada; Alameda, California and lastly San Diego, California. Upon leaving from the military, he moved to Fernley, Nevada in 1978, where he served many positions for the Burea of Land Management. In 1990, his family moved to nearby Sparks, Nevada and ultimately, he retired from the BLM in 1994. In 1999, he accepted a position with the Nevada Department of Transportation, where he worked in information technology. It was in 2006, that Phil purchased a camera and began documenting primarily the wildlife of Nevada and California through his lens. In his photography, he has been able to capture rare and intimate moments of the wild horses of Nevada. He has exhibited and sold his photography at several venues in Northern Nevada.
