Jay Foremaster

Carson City, Nevada

Jay Foremaster was born and reared in Nevada. He was employed as a silversmith for many years in Reno and later as a graphic designer in Carson City for the Nevada Appeal. Jay has explored hand fabricated copper and silver art for over 20 years.

An important theme in his work is the Japanese Zen concept of impermanence and beauty found in old, decaying and imperfect objects alluding to the concept of Wabi-Sabi.  With this, Jay creates his work in such a fashion to provide the collector with historical ties from the past, present and future.
